Description
The Prime Minister Tuition Fund is providing the scholarships for the residents of Pakistan. These scholarships are available for the aspirants of MA, MS, M. Phil as well as PhD degrees program who are registered in various universities of government zone. The Prime Minister of Pakistan is concentrating on some particular region aspirants in Pakistan who have a desire to chase their higher grade degrees.
Scholarships available for the regions
Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan, AJK, FATA, Interior Sindh, South Punjab, Malakand, Kohistan , Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, Buner, Swat, Shangla, Upper Dir, lower Dir and Chitral regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Attock, Khushab, Mianwali and Bhakkar of Punjab.
Field of Study
The candidates can select any field of study for their MA or MS or M. Phil orPhD degrees program at the universities of Pakistan.

Time period for scholarships
Approved Study Duration permitted under the Scheme:
o   MA or M.Sc 2 years
o   MBA 3.5 years
o   MS or M.Phil 2 years
o   MS or M.Phil (Medical Universities) minimum 2 years and maximum 3 years
o   PhD (Natural Sciences) 5 years
o   PhD (Social Sciences and others 4 years)
What does this scholarship cover?
o   Complete Tuition Fee (of Masters, MS or M.Phil as well as PhD programs)
o   On and Off Obligatory charges which comprises of:
o   Registration Fee
o   Admission fee (only for the new comers)
o   Examination Fee
o   Library charges (non-refundable)
o   Laboratory charges
o   Research related academic activities only.
Eligibility Criteria
To hold the scholarship the candidate must meet the following eligibility criteria
o   The aspirants along with the valid domicile or local certificates of particular regions in this scheme registered in MA or MS or M.Phil programs in the public sector university situated in their respective division or next closest division (just in the case of private sector university in their respective district or division) are also eligible for the scholarship.
o   The aspirants along with the valid domicile or local certificates of below mentioned areas registered in PhD program in any Public Sector University of Pakistan are also eligible under the scheme.
o   Ineligible students for this scheme:
o   The aspirants are registered on self-finance basis or part time basis are ineligible
o   Domicile holders of other regions not particular regions in this scheme
o   If Study period go beyond the appropriate duration, then the aspirant expenditure will not be covered under the scheme
o   Achieving any other scholarship under Provincial Government, Foreign donor or any other HEC Program (for example Indigenous Program etc)
o   Any Bachelors or four years Bachelors Program will not be considered.
How to Apply
o   The candidates, who have a desire to apply for the scholarship offered by Prime Minister’s Tuition fund,
o   The candidate must meet with the financial and other requirements of the scholarship program
o   If the candidate is granted the scholarship, he or she should have to maintain a minimum CGPA as per criteria in order for the extension of the grant through this fund
