UBL funds students scholarship programme at BZU Multan
Multan—United Bank Limited (UBL), Pakistan’s Best Bank 2016, recently commenced its Student Scholarship Program at the Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), Multan. BZU is the largest and foremost educational institution in southern Punjab and plays a significant role in developing indigenous human resources through its highly productive achievements, both in sciences and humanities.
The University’s Student Scholarship Program assists disadvantaged students through scholarships. UBL, as part of its long established sustainability agenda of supporting higher education, has partnered with BZU in this program. The Bank will provide 50 Masters’ Degree Scholarships to students for the 2016-17 academic year.
Wajahat Husain, President and CEO, UBL and Prof. Dr. Tahir Amin, Vice Chancellor, BZU signed the agreement at BZU in Multan, on behalf of their respective organizations. Senior executives from the Bank and distinguished faculty members from the University were also present at the event. Husain, on the occasion, said that it is an honour for UBL to partner with BZU in their Student Scholarship Program.
