EDUCATIONAL STIPENDS FOR OUTSTANDING CHILDREN OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES

FEDERAL EMPLOYEES BENEVOLENT AND GROUP INSURANCE FUNDS ESTABLISHMENT DIVISION CIRCULAR 

 
In continuance of this office's Circular No.18-90/Edu-Stipend-Plan/2006 dated 09.12.2010 on the above subject, it is circulated that the Board of Trustees, FEB & GI Funds has decided to revised the scheme of Educational Stipend as follows:-

  • Educational Stipends are admissible to outstanding children of the eligible employees out of Group Insurance Fund.
  •  Maximum two children of an eligible employee are entitled to the said stipends in a financial year; entitled to the said stipends in a financial year; 
  • The stipends are provided for Post-matric studies at College or University levels excluding Ph.D and M.Phill; 
  • The students for the purpose of said stipends should regular student of the institutions who have obtained at be a regular student of the institutions who has least 80% marks in the immediately last held Board or obtained at least marks as specified as under in the University examination as per following categories: immediately last held Board or University examination.

V Re-imbursement of actual semester/annual fees shall be made for professional education (degree program) of Medical. Engineering, IT and Business studies in public sector universities, colleges and institutes, for those children who would get admission on merit basis. The re-imbursement will be made for the whole tenure/period prescribed for these studies. The students shall have to obtain minimum passing marks prescribed by the university, college or institute for his promotion to next semester/class/professional year.
