HEC Pakistan Science Talent Farming Scheme , BS Studies Scholarship Batch-I JULY  2017 

Online applications are invited from the talented youth of Pakistan for the award of fully funded BS four-year scholarship at selected Pakistani Universities with additional interventions. The scholarships are being offered for BS level studies in the disciplines of PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY, MATHEMATICS and their sub-disciplines. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 

a) Applicant must be Pakistani / AJK National. 

b) Applicants who have secured minimum 60% marks in SSC with science and minimum 70% marks in HSSC (Part I) examination with science subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics and are appearing in 2nd Year HSSC examination from Pakistani Educational System are eligible to apply. The scholars have to secure minimum 70% marks in HSSC (Part II). 

c) Candidates who have passed their HSSC in Annual 2016 examination are also eligible to apply if they have secured at least 70% marks in HSSC (Part 1) examination and also have secured aggregate 70% marks in HSSC. They have to get fresh enrolments in the identified disciplines at the selected universities in Fall 2017 semester.
d) Candidates have to secure minimum 50% marks in HEC Scholarship Test. 

e) Candidates who are already availing another scholarship are NOT eligible to apply. 

f) Candidates having dual nationality are NOT eligible to apply. 

Application Procedure

a) Applicants are required to submit only online applications available at HEC website. They are advised to retain a printed copy of the application with them which shall be required from the shortlisted candidates only along with other documents at later stages. 

b) Merit list of Scholarship will be prepared on the basis of online information provided by the applicant and in case of any error/omission, the offer shall stand cancelled. 

c) In case of any omission/misrepresentation of facts by the applicant, HEC reserves the right to reject the application or cancel the scholarship at any stage. 

d) Scholarship test shall be conducted of intermediate level after the closing date in the following combinations 

(i) Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English (ii) Physics, Chemistry, Math & English 

(iii) Physics, Math, Statistics & English (iv) Physics, Math, Computer & English (v) Statistics, Math, Economics and English. 

e) The candidates who shall complete online applications successfully shall get roll number slips at their provided email address and via SMS at their given mobile numbers. The roll number slips can also be downloaded from HEC website.

IMPORTANT NOTES

• All scholarships shall be awarded on merit and Federal Government Provincial Quota policy shall be observed for awarding scholarships. 
• Candidates on open merit shall be shortlisted on the basis of their SSC and HSSC (Part I) results and HEC Scholarship Test. 
• Shortlisted candidates who are applying on the basis of 1st Year HSSC result have to provide the 2nd Year's result immediately after the announcement of the result and in case the aggregate falls below 70% they shall be dropped automatically. 
• Candidates who are already availing Science Talent Farming Scheme Scholarship for their HSSC studies under Pakistan Science Foundation are also required to apply online. 
• Shortlisted candidates shall be required to secure admission by themselves as per the requirement of the selected universities in the identified disciplines of their preference in the Fall 2017 semester for the final award of the scholarship. 
• The selected candidates shall sign an agreement with HEC before availing the scholarship and shall abide by the terms and conditions in the award letter and agreement. 
• HEC reserves the right to select or reject any applicant and to postpone or cancel the scholarship process at any stage. 
• If there is any issue in applying online, you may send the hard copy of the application form at the given address. Candidates are advised to prefer applying online, however, only one option must be selected either online or through courier. 
• Applicants may also visit HEC Regional Centers to get the support to apply online.
